Linda, don't worry about being an HTML newbie. Everyone was one once (I still am one). People out here in forums like this are extremely helpful. This forum is geared more towards promotion and search engines (Max is an EXPERT on this). Sites I've found useful for learning basics including HTML are:

http://builder.cnet.com/

The builder site has an excellent forum called Builder Buzz which offers tons of support on every imaginable web-site building question. I subcribe to that (it's free) and check it out daily.
