Webcrawler/Excite,Hotbot seem to suck

Everytime I list a web page to any of the above web sites my ranking is really poor. I also find that I get very inaccurate results when doing a search.

However I always or usually find Infoseek,Yahoo and Altavista to give great pretinent results and I get great listing positions?

I use Meta tags extensively.

Is it just me or are Lycos,Webcrawler,Hotbot and excite bad search engines.

Yes I use Quotes and use the + sign to refine my searches.
