HTML coding driving me crazy!
From Laurel at Excel Translations on 20 October '98
Aarrrgh! I've discovered a minor problem on one of our web pages, and I can't figure out how to fix it. The problem really isn't a big deal, and could stay how it is, but it's driving me crazy not being able to figure out what's causing it.

Our pages are set up in a two-column table, and on a couple of our pages (http://www.xltrans.com/services/exclude/quote.html is one), the left column, which has a grey background, continues down the page, empty, for a few inches beyond the end of the text in the right column. Theoretically, the left column should end with the end of the text in the right column.

I've scoured the code and can't figure out what's making it do that. Can anyone help? It would definitely save my sanity!

Thanks.
