Not real sure about Netscape, but in IE you can change Brand names back to the E like this. I would imagine the same can be done with a string for Netscape.

Start, Run... Regedit and navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\

Right-click each of "SmBrandBitmap" and "BrandBitmap" and rename the values to "default" -- then close the registry and reboot.

Make sure and back up your Registry.
