Mission Statements in websites Suck
From Jeff on 15 November '98
My vote for the "suckiest" feature of business web sites: they all
feel compelled to state their "Mission Statement" as if ANYONE
really cares. If the tiniest home-businesses have them nowadays.

MS always remind me of the answers Miss America contestants give when
asked how they would change the world. "I would like to end war and
suffering and bring peace to all humanity, Mr. Parks."

I've almost never seen a Mission Statement in a magazine or television
ad (for good reason!) so why does alta vista list 250k references to
them on websites?

I've have only heard one really good Mission Statement. Heard that
the Mission Statement of Nissan was "Smash Honda."
