Register-it claims to have "tested" but wouldn't give details. I don't
know how many pages they teasted, and if they controlled the variables
ot not.

It takes a while to test this stuff ... basically you have to construct
a LOT of page pairs (not just one pair) that are identical except for the ONE
factor you are testing. Then you have to load them onto a site and submit
them, and wait, and wait, and check listings and wait some more.
Like watching grass grow.
