adding to Infoseek- why is the + symbol missing my results. posted by Gray Pritchett

The + sign denotes that the following word MUST
appear in the search results. The reason you
had a poor showing for +steel detailing software
is because the word 'steel' does not appear
in your page TITLE, which is steelwork detailing
software.

If you had tried +steelwork detailing software
I reckon you would have had a good showing.

There's nothing in particular you can do to
combat the + sign in your promotion strategy.
