Well if no-one can think of an answer, perhaps I'll simplify the question:

Am I risking banishment of my pages or website by repeatedly re-submitting the url to a page that has already been rejected with a 404?

OR, can I relax and keep submitting (with amendments, perhaps) until I get it right?
