I would recommend redesigning the homepage to appear more cohesive with
clearer pictures. I'd also swap the text at the bottom to the top and place the
contact info at the bottom (noticed a number of spacing errors in the text as well).
If you reduce the size and number of graphics, the page would appear less cluttered.
I also agree it should come out of frames for promotion purposes.
By far the most important aspect would be the photo's, they need far more
resolution than what is appearing. Did you scan them in yourself? If so
at what dpi?
Let me acknowledge that for a first WEB site effort you've done better
than most...and I'm sure your wife is extremely grateful...but considering
this is a visual medium, and real estate is a very competitive marketplace,
how a property looks in a photo can make a world of difference in the number
of responses...hence the reason most realtors are insistant on sending out
their own photographers to take photo's of listings, insteading of letting
the homeowners provide them! If you can replace these graphics/pixs (even the one
of Jean) I think it would give the site the 'professional' look/feel your aiming for.
Anyway, those are my initial recommendations…hope it helps,
