Domains are running about $48 right now and average hosting is $20/month. Many business start on the Geocities type free path to e-business but quickly switch to their own domain because they have the control they need and it looks more professional.

If you have no desire for business growth and/or no desire to learn web development and/or no need for control of your business then spend $1000 and let someone handle the details for you.

My thoughts are if you plan on growing the business or getting involved with it, you will quickly outgrow this system.
