Site redesign review

Hello all - we've recently relaunched Newbuyer.com this past March. While the current version is a big improvement over the old design (a leftover from 1998), a new content approach currently being developed requires a new User Interface.

As a comparison, the old (and still active) version can be found at:

The new version is at:

htp://newbuyer.com/preview/

Ignore the text in the middle as that has yet to be redesigned. Links may not all work yet either. Please concentrate your critiquing efforts on the top, left, and right borders, and overall design. Your comments and ideas WILL be considered as we implement the new design. Thanks in advance!

Also it would be great if you'd answer the poll within the right border. I'd like to have some data there before going live with this template. Thanks everyone! I appreciate it.
