Some people are sceptical about the use and if they actually help. i can tell you from my own experience that they have help me greatly. My sites are ranked higher and the bots come back evey 7 days days so what every changes I make to the meta is updated. Also you need to check into the cloaking of meta tags. Also you may want to look into gateways and doorways <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="all"> <META NAME="REVISIT-AFTER" CONTENT="7 days"> <META NAME="DISTRIBUTION" CONTENT="global"> <META NAME="Search Engines" content="Lycos, Infoseek, Hotbot, WebCrawler, Yahoo, Altavista, excite, inktomi, webbot">
