access log question
From Jim Perry at Palmares of Elite Women Cycle Racers on 6 March '01
The past couple of days, when I checked my access logs, I deiscovered several referals of the folowing type:
   9 80K /palmares/pryde.htm
                 2 http://www.wcrpalmares.org/
                 1 (no referer)
                 1 http://www.wcrpalmares.org/index.htm
                 1 http://search.netscape.com/google.tmpl
                 1 http://www.altavista.com/cgi-bin/query
                 1 http://google.yahoo.com/bin/query
                 1 http://wcrpalmares.webhost.fm/
                 1 http://137.65.160.20/Junior%20school/Keyquests.html
I tried to trace the final referal, typing http://137.65.160.20 into my address field, but all I got was a "could not locate server - no DNS entry" message. What gives? What is that "%" sign in the referal field. Why doesn't it come up? I tried several times over a few days. Jim Perry
