download aesthetics (& Gary's site) From jwj on 9 May '01 Gary's request brings up an issue I've been wondering about. Is there a way to keep an image totally obscured while it is downloading and then have it appear all-at-once? This would make sites like Gary's more effective. I often have need for the "instant" effect. Since we know that pictures take time to load, sometimes it's better to have the viewer wait until the whole image is ready and then zap the whole thing onto the screen. But that was a relatively fast result just the same, pretty effective.
