Thereby raising the amount of links in the directory that point to my other site and hoping it treats the other site as being more popular? Interesting question. It might be better if you create many links each to a different page within your multipage site. A lot of people are now exchanging links with other websites to achieve higher SE ranking. But you are suggesting an exchange of multiple links. My guess is that SEs aren't impressed by long lists of links, such as a free for all link website. If you try the multi link approach, you might be better sprinkling them around the other site, maybe one at the top and the bottom of several pages.
