Dear Yahoo,

All my transactions are conducted by secure online credit card
transactions. Since we are dealing with hotel space, which is not
always available, the customer first sends me an e-mail asking if the
room is available. If it is, they get the following e-mail back:

Dear (customer name),

Thank you for requesting a reservation under our vacation club
promotional offer.
The accomodation that you have requested is available, and being held
for two weekdays pending payment of your deposit. One room at Casa del
Mar from.....
(****** to ******)
The resort requires a US $15 per day / per room deposit in order to
secure your reservation. This will leave a balance of $25 per day
payable upon check out plus any food, beverages or phone calls you
decide to charge. Should you find it necessary to change your
reservation dates, your deposit will be applied to the new reservation,
provided that we are notified at least seven days prior to your original
arrival date.

For your convenience we have contracted a firm called NorthStar
Solutions to collect the deposit via secure on-line credit card
processing. The link below will take you to their order form page.
First select the resort that you are reserving at from top of the page
with the on line form. Please enter all information requested on the
form. Under quantity, please enter the number of room/days that you are
requesting. In your case the quantity is....* (days).

Should you prefer another method of paying your deposit, or any other
information, please e-mail me. As soon as your room deposit is paid, I
will be notified. I will then send you a confirmation number which you
should quote upon check in.

Since the nature of the hotel business is such that we can not request
deposits
for room reservations until we can assure the customer that the space is
a
available, we decided on this method as opposed to collecting
immediately
and being confronted with refunds. I will be pleased to supply you with
dozens
of references of guests who paid online and were delighted with their
vacation.

Since in fact the customer can and does pay online, I respectfully
request that you reconsider my application.

THE ABOVE GOT THE SAME REPLY RE ON-LINE TRANSACTION ONLY. HERE WAS
MY ANSWER:

"You are welcome to submit your site using the standard
submission process."

I did so over three months ago when I launched the site. No response yet. It
was worth $199 to know that someone still works at Yahoo.

Aside from the technicality that I refuse to collect money from a customer until I am sure that I can deliver the services
requested, how do you like the site?

If I redesign the site to include the secure online payment URL do I pay another $199?
