As you can see, I was in the same boat. The only problem with having a domain with a "-" in it is if you want to do offline marketing. Someone may remember your name, but forget the hyphen, and land on the other site.

Other than that, I see no problems in the "-" in the domain name and it hasn't hindered search engine listings for us.
