and then again there are those of us who have products to sell, want to sell them one on one to clients...and find the web a far better piece of real estate than the small towns we live in.

sorry...there are a LOT of small businesses selling (and buying) tangible products on the web.

some of us have done well enought that we've had to hire employees to keep up with the demand.

no...the web is NOT an easymoney path to riches. But if you have a product worth buying, and are willing to do the work to promote your site in ethical ways, you can build a good reputation, be respected in the online community, and get the rent paid.
