Anywmore, it's all in the name!
From Carl Ballew on 16 June '00
I have a site in Open Directory where the editor lists strictly by
domain name, rather than company name, which seems to be the general
ODP preference. My suspicion is that this method benefits his site(s).

Has anyone ever tackled a problem like this? If so, what did you do,
and what was the result?

I am very disappointed to see the increase in "alphabetical indexing".
The result is that site developers are paying far more attention to
finding a name that starts with "A" or a number rather than good site
content.

I find it hard to believe that this will become the standard, but if
it does, I think it will result in the ultimate degrading of the
world wide web as a whole.

Am I the only one with this opinion?
