You can also get around this problem -- to a large extent
-- by submitting the URL of your frame rather than your
main URL.

Of course you then need links within the frames, that
the bots can crawl through.

Unless your site is small enough that you can just
submit all the frame URLs.

Naturally this won't work on alltheweb.com, which
only accepts root URLs.

Of course you'll also want links within the frames
that snap visitors back to your main index page,
so that they can start enjoying all the frames.

These things are all true. Yet life is so complicated
already. Why add frames?

(I *have* seen frames used superbly on sites that
neither need nor want search engine traffic. But
these are niche sites.)
