Websites that disable "back" button
From Jeff at Ackley Uniforms on 11 Feb '00
Don't you hate it when you try to "back" out of a website and find you
can't. It's an old trick of sleazy porno and penny stock scam sites.
Yet, occasionally I find a quality site that disables the browser's
back button.

I find the practice FAR more annoying than popup windows.

Am I missing something? Does this practice serve any legitimate purpose
or is is merely a way to trap the viewer?
