Now I come up 18th and I have no clue why my position has slipped. Especially since it is human controlled. Is the index based off of algorithims? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
ODP is a catelog, not a search engine. In the catelog sites are listed alphabeticly. The search on the ODP main site http://dmoz.org have been tweaked several times and that may change search results. also keep in mind that other sites may have been listed and thus given your site more competition.
In any case you should remember that ODP data is used by over 100 search sites and they may use the catalog data in different ways.
See http://dmoz.org/about.html for more information.
