We do want to be listed on the most commonly used search engines, such as Yahoo, Alta Vista, etc. This whole thing came up because a customer complained that it was hard to find our business website using search engines. Since I work as a web designer for a company, I have to work with the people in marketing communications to choose the keywords. I have been given a list of suggestions and I'm trying to figure out if they are the best words to use. I'm also trying to find some guidelines to help the people in marketing to understand how meta tags work. I've actually never used them before and find the whole search engine placement deal to be a huge pain in the you-know-where. *grin*
