If or when you have a website or document on the internet that
can be seen by all people on the world wide web you may submit
your site or article in order to let other people find it by using keywords.

Keywords are topics discussed in your HTML document.

If you submitted your site then it is indexed and searchable by what
ever search engine you submitted it to.

Search engine are like hotbot, infoseek, msn , aol, lycos, google
and so on.

One search engine will bring up different results and you may favor one
over the other depending on your personal prefrences.

Most submit to the most popular search engines in hope to get more "HITS"

Most equate "HITS" with popularity some don't.

You now can take it from here and learn more as you submit your
HTML to different search engines.

Some search engines arent search engines like yahoo.

Yahoo is a directory. There are many directories.

Good hunting!
