Some ISP's do a redirect which is supposed to be transparent to the user and search engine. A good example is where my sites are hosted. http://inachu.tripod.com is not redirected. http://www.erols.com/inachu and http://users.erols.com/inachu is also a redirect. So if you see that you can not get ranked very high then this is the main reason.
