if your hosting company uses 1 ip address

Hello,

What if your hosting company/site has 1 ip address and they have 100 sites on that ip address? Would that affect your search ranking? Wouldn't the spider see that there are 99 other sites on that ip address and drop the rankings of your site?

I've had my site up for 1 month now and I am still not coming back in the top 300 of Alta Vista or Hot Bot and I am on the demo version of Webposition Gold.
