one thing to think about David....... it might work TODAY, but get you banned tomorrow.
And also, having a NON underlined link "can" be confusing for newbies. Anything that is NOT default can be confusing for SOME people. I have a site that I used style on JUST for a hover effect (everything else is default).... I get weird comments from people for using it.
