uh?? We have several 'framed' sites that are indexed by excite. Some
are over a year old...

I understand some web designers do not like the use of frames, but our
clients do. Its one of those technology improvements that will take
a while to be generally excepted - but it will happen.

You are right, only a few robots recognise the robots meta tag (I don't know
which ones apart from HotBot), but most robots will recognise the
Robots Exclusion Protocol:
