How can my home page have less relevancy that my subpages? I find that to be quite interesting.
Don't know about your site, but on mine, the 'meat' ... the content doesn't lie on the index.htm page, but within it.
So, depending on the search term used, a visitor can hit the site from anywhere inside.
for specific searches, samples of things that a customer might use to narrow down their search (once they see there are 10,000 sites that fit a 'general' search) they are going to end up on one of my internal pages.
That's where the true content is, so those are the pages that are more relevant in any particular search.
