NL folders are not the same as the Infoseek ones. At Infoseek they
have humans select worthwhile sites for their categories. The NL
folders are entirely auto-generated. The determination is made by
looking at the number of pages within a domain that contain the
keyword searched for.

For example, if a user searches for "widgets" and there are more
than X number of pages containing the keyword "widgets" at, instead of giving umpteen listings on
the first page, they're only listed once, and a folder appears
containing all the other listings. The purpose is to give the user
a nice variety of sites to visit, rather than lots of listings all
pointing to the same site.

You can get your own folder by creating a multitude of worthless
gateway pages containing your favourite keywords, if it really
bothers you.
